There’s something about the changing of seasons that stirs the soul—a quiet invitation to shift, to refine, to embrace a new way of being.
For years, my work in handcrafted fragrance and skincare has been about more than just scent or self-care; it has been about capturing moments, evoking nostalgia, and creating small luxuries that turn the everyday into something extraordinary. And now, that journey continues under a new name: Wildfolk & Whimsy.
This rebrand is more than a fresh coat of paint; it’s a return to the heart of why I create. Inspired by old-world apothecaries, folk traditions, and the artistry of scent, Wildfolk & Whimsy is a celebration of handcrafted beauty, slow living, and the magic found in simple pleasures. But more than that, it is a love letter to my birthplace, my ancestors, and the rich traditions of Appalachia.
A Return to the Old Ways
Appalachia has always been a land of self-sufficiency, where the wisdom of the past is carried forward in each generation. It is a place of wild landscapes and deep-rooted traditions, where remedies weren’t found in store-bought bottles but in the land itself. The people here have always understood that nature provides—when treated with respect, when tended with care.
It is in this spirit that I am introducing tallow-based skincare, sourced from local cows in my own community. These cows roam freely across wide pastures, receiving love and care in a way that honors the land, the animals, and the old ways of living in harmony with nature. Tallow, once a staple in skincare before commercial lotions and synthetic fillers, is deeply nourishing, rich in vitamins, and perfectly suited for human skin. It is a return to what has always worked—a revival of something nearly forgotten.
